His Music is like colourful trip to the sphere of micro-sampling, cut beats and purposeful sound destruction. Beat-maker Foolk shows, what wonky style means. Glitch-hop, glitchtronica, experimental subgenres of dubstep or grime plus crazy synthetic and playstation-friendly sounds. And what to expect from his live act? It starts off reasonably sedate with some tuneful yet discordantly brooding slow playing before it goes all nuts and mental in the middle. Almost knocked me off me chair it did. It's a while since I've heard that much passion on a record. It doesn't sound like it but it really really reminds of the passion you'd get in traditional flamenco which if you've ever seen a proper non touristy flamenco performance I'm sure you'll have been moved to some sort of goose pimpled state. This is some powerful intense shit and it's one of the best 'one man and his guitar' performances I've heard in ages”  22.01.10 Monozid (de) Les Fauves (cz) “Atmospheric guitar sounds, a melancholic melodic voice, a pumping bass and drums that push the whole thing forward - this debut could not have been better.” (ZILLO 06/06) “The three musicians know very well how to express their feelings and bring them to the point without naming them. Catchy melodies support the lyrics and create pictures of alienation and stagnation which remind me of Franz Kafka’s works.” (OX 06/06) Monozid is made up of Ralf’s pumping bass lines, Daniel’s noisy guitar sounds, the drumming of Max which is full of detail and variety, and the melodic effect loaded guitar sound of Franz. It’s music varies from folk and post-rock to experimental and improvised music, oftenly influented by the New Weird America movement. However, the musicians prefer not to limit themselves to any specific genre, considering freedom and emotional devotion being the most important musical values. Having begun his musical life as a singer songwriter in the classic UK mould of the likes of John Martyn, he has over the last three years developed a show-stopping live performance based around the core of his exceptional and unique guitar-playing style and rich, soulful voice.
